Our partners, Tong Lai Ling and Charlaine Adrienne Chin, and Senior Associate, Harish Nair shared an exclusive slot on healthcare at the International Conference on the Future of Law and Legal Practice 2019, organised by Taylor’s University and Taylor’s Law School, on 15 and 16 October 2019. Tong Lai Ling discussed the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the relevant provisions relating to healthcare, while Charlaine Adrienne Chin highlighted the legal issues surrounding artificial intelligence in medicine. Harish Nair spoke about the legal and ethical complexities facing healthcare professionals when continued medical treatment may no longer be in the patient’s best interest.
