On 27th August 2019, Partner Ooi Huey Miin from the Arbitration & Alternative Dispute Resolution practice group was one of the speakers at a workshop on “Dispute Avoidance” organised by the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia. This workshop, part of a series, was designed to train engineers to gain skills in dispute avoidance by dealing with issues that arise and resolving such issues expeditiously. Huey Miin enlightened the participants with regard to Caldebank Offers and issues relating to professional liability.
An experienced counsel in civil and commercial arbitration and also an arbitrator and adjudicator, Huey Miin is a member of the Asian International Arbitration Centre’s arbitration, mediation and adjudication panels, a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
