Joshua has been practising since early 2011 after his call to the Bar and has been a partner of the firm since 2018.
His practice is centered on the construction, infrastructure, energy and oil & gas practice areas, encompassing dispute resolution as well as advisory and contract documentation. A sizeable portion of his work portfolio also involves other practice areas such as tenancy and property disputes, debt recovery, commercial disputes, industrial HSE (health, safety and environment) cases, high-value tortious disputes involving trespass and negligence, anti-competition related matters, shipping and matters involving fast moving consumer goods.
Joshua has appeared at all levels of the Malaysian Court system, conducting trials and arguing appeals, and acts for clients in arbitration, adjudication and other forms of alternative dispute resolution as well. He regularly represents and advises clients on high-value and complex disputes and projects, being often called on to provide guidance to clients on contractual, tortious and statutory liabilities, to assist in pre-litigation dispute management in ongoing projects and to help with crisis response and management when there have been accidents or other serious incidents at buildings, plants and other sites.
Clients supported include landowners, developers, contractors and suppliers (including specialist contractors and suppliers), professional consultants, oil and gas companies, government-linked companies, high-value property buyers, project owners, pharmaceutical companies, plantations, highway concessionaries, national service providers, telecommunications companies, information and technology companies, utility companies, ship-builders and owners, breweries, manufacturers, foreign companies, cooperatives and individuals.
