We are delighted to share that our tax associate, Michael Fork, has recently won the one scholarship that is made available by the Taxes Committee of the International Bar Association to attend the upcoming IBA Annual Conference in Mexico. The competition was adjudicated by high-calibre and experienced tax attorneys.
Michael’s winning essay was about tax treaty shopping and Malaysia’s adoption of the Action 6 minimum standards to tackle tax treaty abuse under the OECD/G20 Base Erosion and Profit Shifting Project. He is the only Malaysian lawyer recorded on the IBA’s website to have ever won an Annual Conference Scholarship.
