We advise clients on a diverse range of employment issues relating to disciplinary actions, domestic inquiries, dismissals, voluntary separation schemes, retrenchment and mutual separation agreements.

Apart from advisory work, the team’s lawyers also regularly appear at the Industrial Court. 

The firm represents local and foreign and/or multinational companies in unfair dismissal, retrenchment and constructive dismissal cases at the Industrial Court and provides advisory services pertaining to the following: 

(a) collective agreements, mutual separation agreements and voluntary separation schemes and the preparation of documents incidental thereto;
(b) the conduct of domestic inquiries;
(c) reviewing and drafting of employment contracts;
(d) structuring retrenchment exercises and the preparation of documents incidental thereto;
(e) reviewing and redrafting employees' handbooks/manuals to ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and
(f) structuring effective performance review plans.
The firm has represented various companies in judicial review applications to the High Court and in injunction applications and civil actions pertaining to issues of breaches of non­disclosure and/or non­-solicitation clauses by former employees.

The firm has also acted for employers in respect of civil suits brought by former employees against the employers alleging various claims including, but not limited to, defamation.
